Better Game Progress and Finally Some Music!
Endless Coil » Devlog

In the jam version of the game I didn't have time to add any audio or really think about how the player should actually progress from one scene to the next. Everything was quickly cobbled together with timers. Now the player can interact a little better with the game. When in the "cave" scene the walls will actually dissolve away after a few minutes of gameplay thus allowing the player to escape!
I still need to add sound effects but at least there is music now. All tracks are from the Melodic Desert pack by Blue Lava Music:
- Title Scene - Dry Dry Cacti
- Intro Scene - Scorched Sands
- Cave Scene - Lost Nomad
- Ending Story Scene - In the sandbox

I love to see people putting in those touches to their game jam games that time didn't allow. Good for you, Rheyan.
Thank you! I had intended to do the same for my last game which was also for a jam but sadly I was a bit burned out at the end of it and never went back to that game! I made sure I didn't make the same mistake with this one.
Yeah that's understandable. My first gamejam game felt like I was doing a work project where I didn't know how to do the task plus with a deadline that didn't include time for learning. Very rewarding in the end, but the last 48h was an oof.
Your game was really good! But I totally understand shelving it. I reckon my plan for reworking my 2020 gdtv game will be when I'm retired, lol.
