Unity Project Source Code Pack (5 Games)
A downloadable asset pack
What is this?
This pack is a collection of complete projects including full source code for all the games I have made in Unity.
I have been building software for 30+ years. My background was in application and web development and I didn't have much experience with game development aside from my time at University. In early 2025 I set about teaching myself gamedev in Unity to fulfil my lifelong dream of being a game developer!
I have documented the whole journey on my YouTube channel and published all the games I made here on Itch. They are all free and can be played in the browser.
This pack contains the full Unity source project for every one of those games. I hope you find it useful, enjoy!
The Included Projects
Click the little arrows ► to read more about each game, and unique features of the project.
What is Mister Flappy?Mister Flappy is a simple Flappy Bird style game. This project was made for a 2.5 hour beginner Unity course which is now available for free on YouTube. The tutorial is deliberately slow paced to make it easy to follow, and includes lots of explanation about why I am doing what I'm doing, rather than just telling you to blindly copy me. |
What is Toasty Tumble?Toasty Tumble is the very first game I made in Unity. It is based on Flappy Bird but you're toast bouncing around a kitchen, collecting yummy food! It's pretty rough around the edges, there are many things I would do differently now 🙂 |
What is Asterworlds? My first game jam entry, Asterworlds is a game based on the classic Asteroids with a goal to save some planets from destruction, and a cute AI mission control robot that talks to you 😉 One thing I was proud of was that I wrote an algorithm to procedurally generate an infinitely scrolling starfield. |
What is Endless Coil?Another jam game, Endless Coil is primarily a game of Snake, but this is entwined into a moving short story. The trickiest part of implementing this game was coming up with a technique for moving a snake that has rounded corners and a proper head and tail, rather than just blocks for each segment. |
What is Flood Drop?Flood Drop is another tutorial project, but with a specific purpose in mind - to fully explore the variety of different ways in which objects can be moved in 2D games in Unity as this is often very confusing for beginners. The 2 hour tutorial is completely free to view on YouTube and again, is very slow paced and I explain everything I am doing, and why I am doing it. |
![]() What is Sprite Breaker?Sprite Breaker is essentially a game of Breakout (also known as Brick Breaker) but with one key difference - instead of manually creating levels for it, I procedurally generate them from 8-bit pixel sprites! Each pixel becomes a block (or many depending on the settings) which can be broken. Includes power-ups, and lots of nice effects. |
![]() What is Sugar in Shadows? My third (and probably last!) jam game, Sugar in Shadows is wholesome card game based around Halloween. Sadly, I ended up cancelling the game as I felt like the core game design was flawed, but I had already implemented a lot of the game by that point, including some of the card mechanics. |
![]() What is Bit Clicker? On the surface, this is just a simple little clicker, based on games like Cookie Clicker. But under the hood, I took a basic game and completely refactored the underlying code to create a robust and flexible game architecture that I will be using for all my new Unity projects. This project goes beyond the beginner stage, into intermediate, and this is what will allow me (and hopefully you!) to make bigger and more complex games going forward. I created an in-depth series on YouTube to document the architecture used here. |
More to Come!
I've made 8 games so far, and this pack will include all of them, but three of the games are not ready for redistribution yet. Anyone who purchases the pack now will be able to get all updates that are made to this pack - you can just re-download it.
As the pack is not complete yet, I will be launching with a discount! But even if you purchase at the discounted price, you WILL be able to get all future additions and updates forever.
What's In The Download?
The download is a single zip file which contains each project in it's own zip file so you can extract just the ones that interest you. You'll notice the file size is quite small... I have stripped out all unnecessary files to reduce the file size.
Most notably, the Unity Library folder has been deleted which means that when you load the project for the first time, Unity will rebuild it, which will likely take a few minutes depending on the speed of your machine.

Once extracted, you'll find the full Unity project folder including the Visual Studio solution file (though of course you are free to use any code editor of your choice). All scripts are in the Assets folder. All you need to do is load this folder into your Unity Hub and open the project.

Target Unity Version
I will only use a LTS (Long term support) release of Unity. Currently, that is Unity 6.3. More specifically, the projects in this version are using 6000.3.11f1 LTS.
However, I don't use cutting edge features so they should work just fine in most older versions of Unity. When a new LTS version of Unity is released, I will update the projects to use it, and you can simply download the updated file.
No AI-Code!
![]() |
I would think this would go without saying really, but just to be clear, I have coded all of these projects, from scratch, myself! I LOVE programming, I love the craft of software development. I might occasionally use AI for some of the art or audio assets if I can't find what I am looking for from creators, but the code is 100% mine, and always will be! I don't even use predictive text in my code editor, I have turned that off completely. Call me old school, but I just like writing code! |
Some Assets Have Been Replaced
In order to protect the creators of the many wonderful assets that I use to build my games, some of them have been replaced in various ways. In some cases, I simply replaced a particular asset with a similar one that has a licence that allows redistribution.
For one game, (Endless Coil) I actually drew some extremely bad programmer art myself and used that instead (could possibly be worth the sticker price to see just how bad that is lol!)
For two of the games that are marked coming soon, I have reached out to one of the content creators to ask permission to apply some distortion filters to the assets as they would be a bit too tricky to replace.
None of these replacements change the way the games work in any way. The projects are distributed exactly as I made them, just using different assets in some places.
I encourage you to check out the original games here on Itch, they are all free to play and can be played directly in your browser so you can see what the original assets looked like in their full glory. From the game pages you can also find links to all of those assets should you wish to use them in your own games.
